AMERICAN RED CROSSOF MASSACHUSETTS BAY RESPONDS TO THREE FIRES WITHIN GREATER BOSTON
CAMBRIDGE, MA December 29, 2006 – The American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay responded to three fires earlier this morning at Rugg Road in Allston, Metropolitan Avenue in Hyde Park and Campbell Avenue in Revere. Over 20 people were affected as a result of all of the fires. Trained American Red Cross disaster relief workers are responding and are providing direct emergency assistance to the affected residents for food, temporary lodging and clothing for several days. Since December 23, 2006, the Red Cross responded to 9 fires and has met the emergency needs of over 80 individuals.
